I am enjoying both working in glass and ceramics.  I am especially pleased with some saggar-fired pieces, and some smoke-fired ceramics with plant images/echoes/ghosts  smoked into the surface.

I have been making fused and slumped pieces in glass, using enamels for decoration.

I began as a wood worker in 1978, graduated from College with a History degree, and went on eventually to become a Design Technology teacher.

I have spent the last year working by myself, and going to Todmorden college doing Glass and  Ceramics.

I have now started a BA in Glass Ceramics and Architectural Glass at Sunderland University, full time this year and hopefully some part-time modules in following years, if I can afford them.
