aim to entertain and intrigue the viewer - ironic humour being a key
intention. I try to entice the viewer to step beyond the obvious and to
speculate their interpretation of the narrative, both inside and outside
the picture. I use visual devices… semi-transparency, doorways, exits from the picture, multi-layering and subtle distortion to provide a visual link between the real, the suggested, the imagined, the past or the future. |
