Carole creates
figurative work which explores issues of identity, childhood development,
and memory. Often working
from family photographs, her work raises questions about photography and
its role in capturing the ‘truth’ of our past.
Her work has a strongly narrative content, although the detail of
the narrative is ambiguous.
