Mary Loney

Mary Loney's reputation as a teacher and prime mover in making the visual arts accessible to all extends far beyond the local area.  She was responsible for setting up the much acclaimed Access Course at Todmorden College and received the OBE for her devotion to this cause.  Mary is an active  member of the Northlight Cooperative and we are delighted that she is able to offer her talents to the Back door initiative.

Perri Webster

Perri Webster is a long standing member of the cooperative and her paintings are held in high esteem throughout the country.  She brings her considerable teaching experience to 'The Back Door'.  Perri currently lectures at Park Lane college, Leeds

Helen Hayman

A highly skilled artist, Helen Hayman has developed a considerable reputation in the region for delivering specialist courses to all abilities in the field of calligraphy and book making. 

Paula Chambers

Paula Chambers is a leading sculptor in the region.  She  makes sculptural objects and installations from a feminist narrative perspective.  She currently has a prestigious one person exhibition at the Dean Clough Galleries, Halifax.  Paula for many years coordinated the Hardcastle Craggs sculpture Trail and is currently lecturing in sculpture at Calderdale College and Leeds university

Sue Turner

Sue Turner successfully combines sculpture and functionality in her ceramic work.  She  lectures  at Calderdale College and is currently Chair of Northlight Art Studios.

Don Myers

Don Myers is a painter and printmaker whose figurative work is exhibited and collected internationally.  He is a highly experienced teacher of art at all levels.

Jacky Murphy

Jacky Murphy is a ceramic artist and long standing member of the cooperative.   Her work explores experimental aspects of the ceramic medium.  She is currently teaching at a Secondary School.

Rachel Johns

Rachel Johns has a growing reputation as a craft tutor and workshop facilitator in this region.  She offers a broad range of textile based craft approaches with a particularly expressive and creative appeal.

Linda Marshall Griffiths

Linda Marshall Griffiths, the cooperative's only writer is establishing a growing reputation in stage and radio drama writing.  She now has several BBC commissions to her credit and has recently been Writer in Residence at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester.  We are delighted to be able to extend the breadth of our creative courses into the field of writing.
 

Kate Boyce

Kate Boyce is a long standing Northlight member.  Her background lies in graphic art and this has influenced her distinctive painting style.  She has become a leading exponent of the 'Lazertran' technique, effortlessly combining photography with painting.  She is now offering to share her knowledge with the broader artistic community.
 
 

Janet Clark

Janet Clark is a leading figure in the weaving field in the region.   She has exhibited widely and her own work brings a 'fine art' content to a traditional craft.  She is now becoming well known for her weaving workshops and her passion for promoting the practice of traditional crafts
