Explore 2D and 3D textile techniques in a  workshop setting -  for all abilities.

All this is possible...........
Learn how to make hand rolled  felt incorporating different coloured fibres, silks and knitting wools.

learn how to create beautiful and distinctive brooches.

Create a useful and re-usable drawstring bag individually designed using templates and fabric paints.

Develop your fabric painting skills to create lively scatter cushions incorporating simple hand stitching/embroidery techniques.

Use up fabric scraps and leftovers to make plaited table mats.

Learn how to needle felt and create a small purse or spectacles case.

Develop your felting skills - ('Nuno' is the Japanese word for open weave cloth).
Learn how to apply wool fibres to chiffon and create a beautiful 'nuno' felted scarf.

Make a stunning silk painted vase from pelmet vilene and organza. Embroider using satin stitch to add interest and texture.

Utilise bondaweb, scrap fabrics, ribbons and beads to create beautiful miniature handmade books.

Transform a plain or old whicker basket or wastepaper basket into an attractive yet practical home accessory. Utilises fabric trims and decoupage.

Transform a room by creating a bamboo framed textile wall hanging/picture utilising motifs from patterned fabric and fusible bonding.

Design and make your own pretty silk painted scarf or distinctive tie using gutta and iron six silk paints.

(Please note:-  some projects may require completion at home or carried forward to the following weeks class.  As such, and to enable time to be used effectively, planned weeks may not run to strict order.)
